Facebook has shut down a network of more than 150 fake profiles linked to China to "harmonize" political conversations.Although most of them involve slotxo supporting Chinese interests But some of them posted about the US presidential election.It's just the second time Facebook has identified the fake account originating in China.The network has about 130,000 followers, although there are only a handful of them in the United States.The account began appearing in 2016 and most of the information is related to Chinese influence in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.They were traced back to a person in Fujan province who had begun paying ads in Chinese yuan,Facebook said.Most arguably supports the Chinese state, for example, promoting its interests in the disputed South China Sea.

However, even if it's an important angle. But it's important to keep things in perspective.First of all, this is a small operation that fails to produce a broader impact before it is deleted. The number of real US voters found in the United States may not matter.Second, there is only a small amount of material about the US election. But agencies and governments around the world view information operations as a means to develop more individual or national security interests.This year alone, Facebook has removed foreign intervention campaigns taking place in Iran, China, Ecuador, Iraq, Romania and even the United States.
